Viişoara este un sat şi comună din raionul Edineţ. Viişoara este unicul sat din comuna cu acelaşi nume. Satul este situat pe malul rîului Prut, la o distanţă de 30 km de oraşul Edineţ și la 230 km de Chișinău. La 3 iulie 1575 pentru prima dată este atestat satul Drăgănești din ținutul Hotin, actualmente Viișoara. Sub numele Viișoara satul este pomenit pentru prima dată în actele oficiale în anul 1704.
