Valea Mare este un sat şi comună din raionul Ungheni. Din componenţa comunei fac parte localităţile Buzduganii de Sus, Buzduganii de Jos, Valea Mare și Morenii Vechi. Localitatea se află la distanța de 15 km de orașul Ungheni și la 111 km de Chișinău. La recensămîntul din anul 2004, populaţia satului constituia 1564 de oameni. Satul Valea Mare a fost menționat documentar în anul 1803.
