Lencăuţi este un sat şi comună din raionul Ocniţa. Din componenţa comunei fac parte localităţile Lencăuți și Verejeni. Localitatea se află la distanța de 16 km de orașul Ocnița și la 221 km de Chișinău. La recensământul din anul 2004, populaţia satului constituia 898 de oameni. Satul Lencăuți a fost atestat documentar în anul 1628.
