Javgur este un sat şi comună din raionul Cimişlia. Din componenţa comunei fac parte localităţile: Javgur, Maximeni și Artimonovca. Localitatea se află la distanța de 16 km de orașul Cimișlia și la 75 km de Chișinău. La recensămîntul din anul 2004, populaţia satului constituia 1627 de oameni. Satul Javgur a fost menționat documentar în anul 1670.
