Plopi este un sat şi comună din raionul Cantemir. Din componenţa comunei fac parte localităţile Alexandrovca, Hîrtop, Taraclia și Plopi. Localitatea se află la distanța de 10 km de orașul Cantemir și la 127 km de Chișinău. La recensămîntul din anul 2004, populaţia satului constituia 789 de oameni. Satul Plopi a fost înființat în anul 1910.
