Baroncea este un sat şi comună din raionul Drochia. Din componenţa comunei fac parte localităţile Baroncea Nouă și Baroncea. Localitatea se află la distanța de 12 km de orașul Drochia și la 177 km de Chișinău. La recensămîntul din anul 2004, populaţia satului constituia 1461 de oameni. Satul Baroncea a fost menționat documentar în anul 1723.
