Tătăreşti este un sat şi comună din raionul Cahul. Tătăreşti este unicul sat din comuna cu acelaşi nume. Localitatea se află la distanța de 32 km de orașul Cahul și la 172 km de Chișinău. Conform datelor recensămîntului din anul 2004, populaţia satului constituia 2156 de oameni. Satul Tătărești a fost menționat documentar în anul 1780 cu denumirea Tatar-Baurci.
